We are always keen to welcome newcomers to join our choir in leading the singing of God’s praises at the 9.30am service. At this moment we should be especially pleased to welcome more children or sopranos. There is no requirement to be able to read music, just to be able to hold a tune. RSCM training will be offered to youngsters (aged 8 or over) and sopranos will learn the ropes alongside our more experienced sopranos. Choir practices are on Friday evenings 7.45-9pm and on Sunday mornings at 9am.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Christingle Appeal on behalf of the Children’s Society. We raised a grand total of £119.38 in the collection boxes plus £108.42 raised on the day making a grand total of £227.80.

Fairtrade Advent Calendars will be on sale next Sunday (17 Nov) in church. If you would like to reserve one then contact Jane in the Parish Office. The Real Advent Calendar is a nativity advent calendar - a fun way for parents, grandparents and Godparents to share the Christmas story. The 2019 calendar comes with a free 24-page Christmas story activity book designed to be used every day in Advent. Calendars are priced at £3.99.

There’s an awful lot of lost property piling up at the back of church. If you have recently lost your spectacles, dolly, cardigan, scarf, gloves, umbrella or handbag then do have a look through - you might well find it. We are planning to take any lost property to the charity shop if it’s not claimed by the end of November.

Our annual Christmas Fayre is a little over a month away so start collecting things to sell and raffle and get baking those Christmas puddings!

Thank you to everyone who donated so generously to the Good Seeds education support project in Mandimba at our Harvest services. Already over £1800 has been raised, which is fantastic. The cost of a year’s schooling in Mandimba is £41 for a secondary pupil and £28 for a primary pupil - extaordinarily small sums for such life-changing outcomes.
